New Lanark Waterwheel

Spinning Waterwheel at the site of Mill Number Four, New Lanark, Scotland.
For years, the machinery in the cotton mills was powered by waterwheels, before being replaced by water turbines.
The New Lanark Mills operated until 1968.
Nowadays, with a population of around 200 and many of the old mill buildings converted to homes, New Lanark is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
