If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Being a photography enthusiast and always willing to learn more and more, I’m always on the lookout for new sources. Podcasts and videocasts are a great source of information and, specially the first ones, a great way to spend commuting times or when out on a walk (including photowalks).
I have a list of podcasts and videocasts that I follow on a regular basis but I like to know what others recommend.
A few days ago I asked on Twitter which podcasts people are listening to. A few answers came through and although I had the majority of them already linked in the podcatcher some new ones were added to the list. To my surprise, Olivier asked me to share the list.
So, I decided to go a little further and share not only the new ones but my complete list of podcasts and videocasts. Since I know many of you don’t use iTunes, the feed links to the normal RSS feed (any podcatcher will grab it). I can only hope this is useful for you.

After I’ve written the list above, I was doing some clean-up of my feed reader and thought why not share the list of blogs too… As with the podcasts, not everything in the list is for everyone and not everything is at the same level. Some are better than others, some focus only on a certain level of photography. I believe that you’ll have many of these in your own list, but if not, at least you get to know them. To all my readers, directly from my feed reader, meet what I read…

27 + 83 = 110 Great resources for photographers
Big list… Makes me wonder if I should think about trimming it down.
All the people producing such great content deserve a great audience. If you don’t know them already, check their sites and what they have to offer. And if you like it, subscribe.
You’ll notice that on the list there are no photoblogs. It was not a mistake. Photoblogs had their space in here already.
I’m probably missing on some great content out there. So, if you think some other sites should be added to the list drop me a comment. I’ll keep the updates going…

Hi Olivier,
I’m glad you did. It gave a lot of work, but the list is all there.
Now I know why I’m spending too much time reading instead of photographing and writing posts.
Regards.

Thanks Mads Alexander,
I’ll take a look at it. But at first glance it’s putting me off by the fact that the site requires a registration.

Very good list. You’ve listed some of my favorites. If you are interested in new media, soical media, digital media and its applications for the photographer http://www.newmediaphotographer.com is a good answer.
Chase Jarvis stuff is always fun. Not listed is studiolighting.net They often have some good interviews with photographers.

Hi,
What about Flickr? It’s ok reading about photography but what about looking at images for inspiration and new ideas?
Granted there is a huge amount of dross on there but there are also some stunning images…

Hi Ian,
Thanks for your comment. With this list I tried to focus on sites that offer photography related content, such as news, tutorials etc.
Without question that Flickr is a great place to share your images and admire other people’s work, but I didn’t feel it belonged in this list.
Thanks again for your suggestion.

Are there any sites for PhotoShop ELEMENTS. Its seems that everything on the web is about Lightroom2 and the CS3/4?
I can see not reason to use eith CS3/4 or Lightroom?
Any thought on this…?

Hi Carol,
In fact there are many sites that are exclusively dedicated to Photoshop Elements or that have a huge section dedicated to it. Just search “photoshop elements tutorials” and you’ll get there.
If you don’t need Photoshop or Lightroom, have you thought about trying GIMP?

Here are just a few that I got from the search page by searching in Google “Photoshop elements tutorials”:
http://www.photoshoproadmap.com/Photoshop-tutorials/Photoshop-Elements-tutorials/Most-popular/1/
http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pselements/Photoshop_Elements_Tutorials_and_User_Resources.htm
http://www.photoshopsupport.com/elements/tutorials.html
http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/adobe_photoshop_elements/
Go deeper into the search results or change the query and I bet you’ll get many more good ones.
